Early marriage reduces risk of HIV/AIDS - Nafada

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon.Usman Bayero Nafada, has advised youths to get married early to avoid the risk of HIV/AIDS.
He made this call during the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Chief Imam, National Assembly Central Mosque, Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid Jos.
The wedding, which took place at the resident of the Permanent Secretary of Energy (Power), Dr. Aliyu Abdullahi Damau in Abuja last Friday, witnessed a large turn out of dignitaries.
The deputy speaker blamed the rampart spread of HIV/AIDS among the youths on lack of early marriage.
However, he called on religious leaders and parents to teach their children on morals values, which would make them useful to themselves and the society at large.
In a related development, Senator Dansadau also contributed that couples should avoid getting divorced, which is one of the key factors that encourages prostitution in the society.
Contributing, Honourable Ubale Jakada Kiru, representing Bebeji/Kiru constituency in Kano State congratulated the groom and the bride's parents for encouraging their children to marry early.
The Chief of Garki, HRH Alhaji Usman Kpoluku, sheded more light on the need for youths to marry on time. He also appreciated God Almighty who made the marriage successful.
Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Damau handed over the bride according to Muslim rites to Alhaji Aliyu Maigari, Deputy Director, Bureau of Public Enterprise on behalf of the groom.
