Unmask Falobi's killers, NGE tasks security agencies
October 13, 2006
Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) has tasked security agencies to unmask the killers of a journalist, Mr. Omololu Falobi.
As it mourned the death of the crusader against the HIV/AID scourge, the NGE charged the security agencies not to consign investigation into his killing to the shelf.
Falobi, in his life time was in the forefront of the fight against HIV/AIDS through his non governmental organization (NGO) Journalist Against Aids (JAADS).
He was committed to the struggle to stem the scourge of HIV/AIDS through seminars, workshop and training programmes for his media colleagues.
The media community through the death of this crusader has lost a dedicated Youngman who has contributed his quota towards ensuring better living standards for media practitioners.
The killing of Falobi, a one-time reporter with the Punch newspapers by yet unidentified persons adds to the growing list of mindless murders in the country, which the security agencies must unmask and perpetrators brought to justice.
