Cross River state receives free donation of ARV

Fidson Health Care Limited has donated anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs) worth over N3millon to Cross-River state. The drugs called Virex is the first locally manufactured ARV produced by the company was donated to the state as part of strategies to make the drugs available and accessible to Nigerians living with HIV virus.
Managing Director of FIDSON Healthcare, Mr. Fidelis Ayebae said with the take-off of its ultramodern manufacturing plant in Sango Ota that the local production of premium quality products including Virex, its brand of ARV has since begun in the factory.
Assuring Nigerians that the company will continue to provide high quality healthcare products to the consuming public through highly motivated professionals, he added that prices of ARVs have fallen since they started operations locally.
His words, “ Apart from offering quality products we want to build partnerships, offer product and services to meet the health requirements of the people of Nigeria who we are serving. Our Virex ARV is affordable, better price, flexible and already we have trained pharmacists to handle the distribution”.
He further explained that the setting up of its factory was intended to use the factory to bring specialized and medicinal prescription and discoveries to the doors of the general populace at affordable prices.
“ We are poised to improve the general standards of the healthcare industry in Nigeria and beyond. We are constantly refining and distilling our scientific thoughts to provide novel drug formulations and improve existing ones in other to satisfy the sundry demands of modern day healthcare delivery.
